Plumieri}), and the redmouth grunt ({H. aurolineatus}), of the Southern United States; -- also applied to allied species of the genera {Pomadasys}, {Orthopristis}, and {Pristopoma}. Called also pigfish, squirrel fish, and grunter; -- so called from the noise it makes when taken. |
