\Squawk\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Squawked}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Squawking}.] [See {Squeak}.] To utter a shrill, abrupt scream; to squeak harshly. {Squawking thrush} (Zo["o]l.), the missel turush; -- so called from its note when alarmed. [Prov. Eng.]
