\Cluck\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Clucked}; p pr. & vb. n. {Clucking}.] [AS. cloccian; cf. D. klokken, G. glucken, glucksen, LG. klukken, Dan. klukke; all prob. of imitative origin.] To make the noise, or utter the call, of a brooding hen. --Ray.
