\Sanc"ti*fy\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Sanctified}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Sanctifying}.] [F. sanctifier, L. sanctificare; sanctus holy + -ficare (in comp.) to make. See {Saint}, and {-fy}.] 1.
