granted to a prebendary out of the estate of a cathedral
or collegiate church with which he is connected. See
{Note} under {Benefice}.
2. A prebendary. [Obs.] --Bacon.
{Dignitary prebend}, one having jurisdiction annexed to it.
{Simple prebend}, one without jurisdiction.
