skill, or of oratorical or dramatic ability; as, an
exhibition of animals; an exhibition of pictures, statues,
etc.; an industrial exhibition.
3. Sustenance; maintenance; allowance, esp. for meat and
drink; pension. Specifically: (Eng. Univ.) Private
benefaction for the maintenance of scholars.
