1. Separate; distinct; disjunct. --Sir M. Hale.
2. Disjunctive; containing a disjunctive or discretive
clause; as, ``I resign my life, but not my honor,'' is a
discrete proposition.
3. (Bot.) Separate; not coalescent; -- said of things usually
coalescent.
