\Con*fect"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Confected}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Confecting}.] [L. confectus, p. p. of conficere to prepare. See {Comfit}.] 1. To prepare, as sweetmeats; to make a confection of.
