\Au"ger\, n. [OE. augoure, nauger, AS. nafeg[=a]r, fr.
nafu, nafa, nave of a wheel + g[=a]r spear, and therefore
meaning properly and originally a nave-bore. See {Nave} (of a
wheel) and 2d {Gore}, n.]
