\An*ach"a*ris\, n. [NL., fr. Gr. ? up + ? grace.] (Bot.) A fresh-water weed of the frog's-bit family ({Hydrocharidace[ae]}), native to America. Transferred to England it became an obstruction to navigation. Called also {waterweed} and {water thyme}.
