Any marine vegetation cast up on the shore, especially plants of the genera {Fucus}, {Laminaria}, and {Zostera}, which are most abundant on northern shores. 3. (Bot.) Coarse seaweed of any kind. {Wrack grass}, or {Grass wrack} (Bot.), eelgrass.
