Eng.] {Moor whin} or {Petty whin} (Bot.), a low prickly shrub ({Genista Anglica}) common in Western Europe. {Whin bruiser}, a machine for cutting and bruising whin, or furze, to feed cattle on. {Whin Sparrow} (Zo["o]l.), the hedge sparrow.
