Pertaining to, or derived from, plants of the genus Veratrum. {Veratric acid} (Chem.), an acid occurring, together with veratrine, in the root of white hellebore ({Veratrum album}), and in sabadilla seed; -- extracted as a white crystalline substance which is related to protocatechuic acid.
