\Plat\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Platted}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Platting}.] [See {Plait}.] To form by interlaying interweaving; to braid; to plait. ``They had platted a crown of thorns.'' --Matt. xxvii. 29.
