matter which rubs off from cloth.
\Crock\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Crocked} (kr[o^]kt); p. pr. & vb. n. {Crocking}.] To soil by contact, as with soot, or with the coloring matter of badly dyed cloth. \Crock\, v. i.
